POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW POSITION in Cancer Research

 

The Molecular Immunomodulation Program at the Institute for Cellular Therapeutics, University of Louisville , KY , is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to conduct research in Cancer Immunotherapy. The project will focus on the use of a novel application designated as ProtEx™ to develop vaccines for the prevention/treatment of cancer (Immunity 17:795, 2002; Circulation, 107: 1525, 2003; Cancer Research 63:4067, 2003). Expertise in cellular/molecular immunology and with murine cancer models is essential. Excellent knowledge of English, both oral and written, is required. The work will be conducted in a recently constructed state-of-the art facility located on the Medical Campus of the University of Louisville, KY. Louisville is a city in expansion where the cost of living remains fairly low. This position offers an excellent health benefit package and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience . The project will focus on the use of a novel application designated as ProtEx™ and islet transplantation to establish mixed hematopoietic chimerism for the induction of tolerance (Immunity 17:795, 2002; Circulation, 107: 1525, 2003; Cancer Research 63:4067, 2003). Expertise in cellular/molecular immunology, hematopoietic stem cell, mixed chimerism and transplantation is essential. Excellent knowledge of English, both oral and written, is required. The work will be conducted in a recently constructed state-of-the art facility located on the Medical Campus of the University of Louisville, KY. PROTEIN BIOCHEMIST

 

The Molecular Immunomodulation Program at the Institute for Cellular Therapeutics, University of Louisville , KY , is seeking a protein biochemist to produce fusion proteins in insect and bacterial expression systems, purify proteins from culture supernatants and inclusion bodies, and screen an aptamer library. Candidate with extensive experience in protein purification from inclusion bodies, protein refolding and with HPLC are strongly encouraged to apply. Excellent knowledge of English, both oral and written, is required.
